Welcome to our school!

It's great to see familiar faces and make new friends. We have an exciting year ahead of us filled with new learning opportunities, activities, and chances for growth.

Let's make this a year we'll never forget!

Hours of attendance are as follows:

  • K-6th 8:30 - 2:30
  • 7th & 8th grades 7:54 - 2:30
  • High School  7:30 - 1:30

The gates are open for student drop off 15 minutes before each start time. If you are dropping off during regular hours, please drop your student off at the student drop-off lot - it’s the small lot just north of the bus lanes on the west side of the campus. Staff will be outside during that time. If your child arrives early or late for any reason, please bring them to the front office and sign them in.

To help the school better prepare for the upcoming school year, please take a few minutes to update your child(s) information through the parent portal. The annual update allows parents to make changes to contact information, including address, phone number, child’s health history, as well as emergency contact information. Parents can update information for all of their children in the district at the same time. If there are changes to address, parents can upload the required proof of residence at that time. If parents have any problems or questions regarding this, please go to pvassist.pvschools.net for assistance or call 602-449-2375.

For any parents who have moved recently, please call Roadrunner School to update transportation services. Please note that it can take up to 5 days for changes to the bus routes to take effect. We cannot request changes to transportation until proof of residence has been submitted. Transportation services will begin on the first day of school. Prior to this date, parents should receive a call or letter from the transportation department informing them of the approximate pickup time, bus number, and location.

A few reminders to help the year start off smoothly:

  • Plan ahead for the daily school routine. This includes getting back into the routine of going to bed early.

  • Attendance and punctuality are very important to student success. Students who attend school regularly and on time are more connected to their school communities, achieve more academically and behaviorally, and are much more likely to graduate.

  • Throughout the year, please make sure to check in at the front office before visiting classrooms or other areas of the school at any time other than normal pick-up or drop-off times.

  • Parents can apply for free & reduced lunch and/or pay for student lunches at EZMealapp.com, or print out a paper copy, fill it out, and drop it off at Roadrunner.

  • Parents can access their student's grades, attendance, and other information online through the Infinite Campus parent portal.

  • There are a few basic supplies that are always needed for each classroom (Kleenex, sanitizing wipes, paper towels, and whiteboard markers). If parents are able to provide any of these supplies, please bring them to the “meet your teacher” night. This is not required as Roadrunner often receives donations from community organizations.

  • Backpacks are only allowed for K-5 students. Other students may carry backpacks based on level (Merit) or if needed for a specified purpose, i.e. mainstreaming, with prior permission.

  • Roadrunner relies on community support and volunteerism. There are a number of opportunities for parents to volunteer on campus, including helping at special events, supporting the library, or serving on the school council. If parents are interested or would like more information, please call the office.
